A control group of non-football players was not included in the study because the type of questions asked would not allow comparisons to be made between such groups.

However, it should be highlighted that prediction equations based on BIA are instrument-dependent, and instrument sensitivities are variable. Therefore, comparisons cannot be made between studies that measure bioimpedance using different technologies e.
