Abstract Background Catechins, which are polyphenol compounds found in many plants and are an important component of tea leaves, are strong anti-oxidants.

Research Many studies seek to enhance the effects of catechins on the human body and boost their protective power against UV radiation. Conclusion Continued research on the strong anti-oxidant effects of catechins is expected to result in many advances in the food, cosmetics, and pharmaceutical industries.

The rising number of invasive Heightened alertness state infections caused Anti-fumgal drug-resistant Anti-funfal strains is one of the greatest challenges for Anti-fungaal Anti-fungal catechins catechlns novel antifungal strategies. Anti-fungal catechins scarcity of available antifungals has Antioxidant-rich inflammation reduction attention to the potential of natural products as antifungals and in combinational therapies. One of these is catechins-polyphenolic compounds-flavanols, found in a variety of plants. In this work, we evaluated the changes in the susceptibility of Candida glabrata strain characterized at the laboratory level and clinical isolates using the combination of catechin and antifungal azoles. Catechin alone had no antifungal activity within the concentration range tested.
