Coast Mental Health provides ongoing support and assessment; crisis intervention; co-ordinated psychiatric and medical treatment; life and social skills building; drug and alcohol recovery programs and counselling; job skills training and education; peer support; advocacy; co-ordination with other needed resources, like housing and social services; and other programs and services deemed to be beneficial and necessary for successful recovery of each individual.

Most clients will complete the program within six to 12 months, followed by transition to appropriate services in, or closer to, their home communities.

Services provided Program services include: ongoing support and assessment crisis intervention coordinated psychiatric and medical treatment life- and social-skills building counselling vocational skills training resource coordination and advocacy peer-run programs other programs and services to support clients in their successful recovery.

The healthcare team Each client receives highly supported services through a multidisciplinary care team of professionals with specialized expertise in treating substance addictions and mental health disorders.

The care team includes: psychiatrists general practitioners physicians nurses social workers vocational counsellors rehabilitation workers leisure worker other care staff They work collaboratively with the client on their care planning to meet their treatment goals.
